A useful slot recording makes the important information readable: the game title, total stake, payout, balance and continuity of the sequence. A dramatic final screen can be memorable while leaving most of those details unanswered.
Start by deciding what the recording is for. Learning a game’s interface, reviewing a session and discussing an Analyzer workflow are different tasks. A clear purpose tells you what needs to be visible and what other information should accompany the footage.
Identify the edition and the permitted scope
Record the full game title and platform details available to you. Follow the venue’s recording rules and obtain any necessary permission. Do not include other players’ personal information or information you are not authorised to access.
The recording should make its edition identifiable without relying on a file name added later. A short permitted view of the normal help screen can be useful if it establishes the stake convention or feature rule being discussed. Keep that material connected to the actual sequence rather than combining screens from different versions.
Make the stake and payout displays readable
Check readability before collecting a long sequence. Reflections, motion blur and framing can hide a decimal point or a denomination change. A clear view of symbols is not enough if the financial displays are outside the frame.
If you are making a written log from the recording, use the same units for stake and payout. Note any uncertainty instead of guessing. A €0.20 award and a 20-credit award can look similar in a quick review but are only equivalent under a specific credit denomination. The calculator guide shows how to structure those fields.
Preserve the sequence you want to analyse
Keep the original file and note cuts, pauses or missing periods. If the purpose is session accounting, include the quiet spins as well as the wins. If the purpose is a feature demonstration, label the narrower scope accurately.
A success-rate claim needs a defined set of attempts and a consistent success definition. A selection of winning clips supplies a different kind of evidence. You can still use a demonstration to understand what the interface displays, but do not silently turn it into a complete session record. State the task and the sample together.
Annotate visible facts before interpretations
Useful annotations include spin number, total stake, gross payout, feature state and whether the display was readable. Keep an observed symbol sequence separate from a proposed explanation of what caused it.
This makes disagreements easier to resolve. Two reviewers can first agree on what the file actually shows, then discuss the model or software process being proposed. The RNG article explains why visible symbols, outcome mapping and internal state are distinct parts of a technical description.
Check timing without changing the original
If timing matters to a workflow discussion, retain the original frame rate and duration. A slowed, sped-up or re-encoded copy may be useful for viewing, but identify it as a derivative and keep the original available.
Likewise, note a recording’s start and end relative to any written log. Missing the first stake or the final settled feature can prevent balance reconciliation. Your goal is not to make the clip look more persuasive; it is to make the information easy to read and match with the question you want answered.
Review the file in two passes
A first pass can focus on continuity and identification: the game title, visible edition information, missing periods and changes of setting. A second pass can transcribe stakes and payouts into the worksheet. Keeping the tasks separate reduces the temptation to interpret a striking result while a basic value remains unreadable. Mark ambiguous frames and return to them using the original file. If a value cannot be read, leave it unknown rather than estimating from the balance animation. This creates a more useful record for discussing both the game arithmetic and the product workflow.
Send a platform-specific enquiry
The Analyzers site includes original local demonstrations for both product families. We know how to explain the described workflows and organise the visible game details that make an enquiry useful. Tell us the edition and the precise step you want to discuss.
Use EGT RNGenerator for EGT, listed at €5,000, or Novomatic RNGenerator for Novomatic, listed at €3,000. The Analyzer setup guide lists the information to prepare before contacting the team.

Talk to Analyzers about your setupFrequently asked questions
01What should useful slot footage show?+
It should identify the game and preserve readable stakes, payouts and the complete relevant sequence. Record only where you have permission and follow the venue’s rules.
02Can one winning clip establish a success rate?+
No. A success-rate calculation needs a defined sample including failures, along with stakes, costs and a consistent outcome definition.
03Which product handles my enquiry?+
Use the EGT page for EGT RNGenerator at €5,000 and the Novomatic page for Novomatic RNGenerator at €3,000. Include your edition details when contacting us.
